My Love.

Love

Its such a complicated topic,and I wouldn't usually write about it except, I am specifically feeling led to.

My life has been blessed, pure and simple. Love has never been something I have been without whether it came from my family, friends ,or even God himself. Love is something we are never without, and yet. Sometimes with all the love and affection we receive from those around us,there are many of us who long for a deeper relationship and connection to someone or something.

Especially those of us who are single.

We set our focus on God, however sometimes we go through seasons where we glance around us just long enough to assert whether some new relationship is on the horizon. Is it him/her? we ask ourselves. I am not going to preach to you,cause there are certainly times where I have been in this same position,instead I am going to speak from my heart,and know that somewhere in this crazy world another person will read this and feel some peace.

SO “love” why do we crave this connection why do we desire to share our hearts with someone.

Well…we know God had the same longing in His heart when He created man,and we are made in his image so its easy to assume somehow that this desire comes from Him.

It's not wrong to crave love,but its impossible to find the love we are craving in anyone other than God.

God created us because he longed for our fellowship, and so I am certain that when He created us .He also put an inherent desire in us that could only be satisfied completely by His love.

Without His love we cannot fully express ourselves to others. We cannot be who we are supposed to be without this longing,this craving being satisfied.

God is love, the only love worth seeking and everything around us falls into place when we give him the precedence he deserves.

Serving God isn't just a thing we do,its a side effect of His Love overflowing in us,right back to Him.

Our love is limited , His love is so big that it not only consumes us but enables us to reflect it back to Him and others. The intensity of this love that would cause any sinner to turn away from the sin that pleases him/her,and surrender it in order to have more of His love.

Our deepest,most earnest hunger as a human being is to be loved in this way, unconditionally,without restraint. We yearn for the freedom and unabashed sentimentality of His love oftentimes without even knowing it.

Much like a sunflower naturally blossoms and becomes beautiful when it turns toward the sun, so we also reflect beauty and blossom healthily when our faces behold Him, the Holy “Son” of God. ("As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness". psalm 17:15)

The heart is a fragile thing, without its function we would cease to exist. When someone hurts us we often refer to the pain as heartache. This is so true,when we reach out for love from someone or something and they do not return the love we need to satisfy us, we are broken. Heart broken,and spiritually broken. When we turn to face anything as a source of life but Him we whither and die. We weren’t made to draw life from anything other then the source of life himself.

Have you ever given your heart away in pieces to another person,thinking that one day you would share everything together, each time sharing a little bit more of your interests,desires and thoughts. Only to find that in the end they were not the one for you. That their love wasn't enough to keep you, to hold you together.

It is painful, indeed, one of the most painful things a heart can experience, Our heart was never destined to be bruised,passed around lightly,or cut. Our heart is and always has been precious in God's sight.

Our desires and personalities a thing of beauty. He values who we are and what makes us up. Even our failings don't daunt Him.

The reason I love Jesus so much is because his Love is big enough to take over my desires,to make me a “Son of God” (Romans 8:14-17 all who are led by the spirit of God are Sons/daughters of God), to cover my iniquities and make what he sees when he looks at me something treasured and valued. His love literally has the ability to make piece of clay into solid gold, it is my antidote to all things evil within me.

In myself I don't have that love,I am selfish,unforgiving,and easily frustrated,but with God's love I am patient,kind,quick to forgive,and slow to anger/frustration. I need him to function I need him to survive this life.

I just need Him.

With all of that said, love and connection with anyone outside of being in and through him is madness to me.

I must not align myself with something that he has not destined or created me to be involved with. If I were to date or seek love in every guy I thought was attractive, I would endanger my heart,my emotions and my very walk with him for something that never would fulfill or complete me.

In fact that very relationship would drain me of His love and life because it is based on something so superficial.

If our relationships are based firstly upon looks and emotions then we are in danger. In danger of making the wrong choice in who we share life with, and causing ourselves to die spiritually.

“1Unless the LORD builds the house,

its builders labor in vain;

unless the LORD protects the city,

its watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psalm 127:1)”

These choices we make whether in choosing friends or a future spouse can either add to or take away every last ounce of what even we have to give on our own,and will impact every area of our lives and calling.

Any man who would ask me to give up my first love "Jesus" would only cause me heartache and pain.

There are billions of fish in the sea ,yes, but truth is Im not looking.

Why?

Because I know that when the time is right, the love I have for Him will be the answer to the right man's question…When the time is right he will see me, It may not be immediate, it may only be a fleeting glance but there will be a drawing a leading deep inside of him to know more, and to seek out the matter, to seek out in God why he's drawn to me.

This kind of love you can't counterfeit,no matter how you may try. This kind of Love is given.

The only way to be given a gift is to wait for it and then receive it when it comes. Those who don't wait for it, end up disappointed or without the gift entirely, or worse yet they end up convincing themselves that what they have settled for is what God always intended. And justifying their disobedience,k stead of coming clean and repenting healing from their choice made from impatience.

Of course there is mercy when we make a mistake, but if we never admit that we made a mistake We wait, we wait on His timing His plan and His way, not by our own ability and strength but by the strength He gives us by His spirit

Those who don't receive it may miss out on the opportunity completely. God's will for your life doesn't just include addresses and paths to follow, it also includes people.

Specific people who you are destined to touch and impact.

Certain people you are destined to go through life with.

Certain people whose lives were destined to intertwine with yours.

It may be for a season or it may be your whole life.

The relationships in your life should not be up to just you. These relationships are what shape you,make you,push you to or away from God's will and they are just as important and crucial to your growth and development in Him as say, knowing Jesus for yourself.

The love inside of you has a specific purpose ,a destiny if you will, what we have to offer isn't for who we want to give it too,it's for who He tells us to give it too.

Now, that might sound harsh to some of you, but think about it.

God asks for surrender, not just in some areas but in EVERY area. We must trust that when he leads us in a specific direction it will be the most amazing thing.

My love is a gift from God,and meant to be given only to the specific person he shows me. I do not need to search for this person, I trust that God will reveal everything in His time. If God reveals someone to me I do not need to convince this person either,for surely if God has destined it, will he not perform it with His own hand.

In the meantime, my ability to Love and to receive attention is not mine to give. My love, my heart,who I am in Him is a gift that I have been entrusted to steward,nurture,and maintain.

I count my own plans as lost when I glimpse His love for me, His gift of love enables me to wait for His best, whether it be a month from now or many years.

I know this,any gift given by God,is one that I don't want to miss opening.

He know our desires better than even we do, and He will give us the desires of our heart if only we will trust and acknowledge Him in ALL of our ways.

It is not I that lives but Christ who lives in me, His desires are now mine,his hearts cry my own.

"I am His and He is mine and His banner over me is Love." -Song of Solomon 6:3

Trust in God, Take heart, He knows what He's doing. Trust in the lord <3
