Just Be You...

Its hard being yourself. It's hard to be everyone else's version of acceptable. Living for the opinions of men is like trying to wear all the clothes in one store, in one day.
All the sizes, all the styles, all the accessories...The bigger the shop the more clothes you try on, And this world is one BIG Shop telling you where to go, what to try, what to do and how to be...
I guarantee if you tried everything on... the end result would be death from exhaustion🙃
We are not designed to please other people, and we are not designed to conform to what other people want for us...and yet we do.
Pleasing others only makes us into a softer form of clay, like play dough, rarely hardening always being molded and shaped into what others want us to be.
The more moldable we are to the hands of people, the less we will recognize who we are and what we stand for.
Pleasing everyone is impossible, There are just too many people in the world that have an opinion of what we should be,that to even imagine trying to be what they want is a job.
There are too many sets of hands out there, claiming to know whats best for you.
When in reality there is only ONE set of hands that actually does know whats best for you...
We were wired to please, but not to please others.
We will never be happy if we play the role of push-over,
we will never be happy if we don't find our voice, but how do we find our voice.
If not in people, and things, then in what?
When we live to please the one we were created to please,
There is only one opinion that matters,
only one opinion that stays consistent and true,
and that is God's opinion of us.
If we are not yielding ourselves to Him and Him alone,
we will never be fulfilled.
We will always be lacking and never receive the life we were meant too.
Gods opinion is the only one that truly fulfills us, when we fulfill it.
He is the only one who's opinion truly matters.
What a beautiful analogy: That in giving everything to God,we receive everything we have ever needed, wanted, or dreamed.
We don't have to give up anything that we desire or dream of,
we just have to trust him with the way that those desires and dreams come about.
We have to trust Him with the control.
Being who you are is not a matter of styles, trends, the latest song you like,or favorite books you've read.
Who you are is not the Job you work, your political views,or the what your hobbies include.
Those are all extra bits and pieces of you, But that does not make up who YOU are to God,
and who you are to God is ALL that matters.
Forget about what others dictate to you, forget about fitting into the mold,
forget about being popular (Because God's way is not usually the popular way),
forget about people's opinions and views!
We are all imperfect, understated, and in need of guidance.
We are all unfinished.
Why seek fulfillment and approval from the created as opposed to the CREATOR.
Thats the problem with fame, thats why so many people in the world who are famous complain of feeling empty, are unhappy,and/or lost in their life purpose.
Its because they are looking so hard for fulfillment in the approval of people.
(The approval of their fans, the approval of each other) that they forget, or were never told that the only approval they need is from the one who created them.
The only validation they should desire is the one who's over it all.
It's easy to give in to the molding pressure of hollywood, of our culture,of the most popular trends and music, but these things were all created by the creation and not all were inspired by the creators influence.
Gifts used outside of the perfect will of God are dead gifts.
Dead gifts produce fruit that is dead on the tree.
Doing stuff in God's name does not fulfill his will for your life,
But doing what He says that is what holds fulfillment.
Who you are isn't tied up in who they are, It is tied up in who He is.
And the more we draw close to that realization, the more we will know what true happiness is.
Who we are in Him... That is truly who we are!
Amen.
(Romans 12:2)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
