The Dry Places...

Im here.
waiting...
the clock ticks by, the hours grow dim,
and still
Im waiting...
Ive blocked you out,
but for so long.
I cannot hear your steady voice as easy as before
waiting...
looking at my fingers counting past the awkardness of this silence
feeling forever, miles away from where Ive been
from you...
Of course I know your near,
but when did I last hear,
what you were saying...
Listening and silently obeying,
every sound your voice utters
When did I get so busy,
when did the mask go on
When did I get so dizzy with opinions,
all thats wrong...
Silence
greeting me at every turn
an un-welcomed friend.
I long to burn all that keeps me in this place,
away from you...
I yearn to taste your closeness
like honey to my soul
Your peace is like still waters.
Your never letting go,
Everything you are, in everything I do
So now you'll find me waiting...
until I hear from you.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Psalm 27:14
