Choices (Part 2...)

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak to someone about Him. I was sitting in my car, in a grocery store parking lot, showing someone a video on my phone and on the reflective glass of my phone screen I saw a woman walking.
No immediate thought came to my mind,
but then I heard a voice say, go and pray for her.
I knew in that moment who was speaking and I had a choice.
a freezing moment where I wasn't sure if I wanted to step out and risk rejection,
all the things flooding through my mind at once, but when He speaks its better just to listen...
I couldn't explain away the urgency in my spirit and she was about to pull away in her car.
I chose to listen.
I quickly got out of the car, walked over to where her car was,
she was rolling down her windows as I approached ,and I began to speak
"Do you believe in God" She answered "Yes, I do." upon hearing this I told her that I had been minding my own business looking at a video when she walked by and I had felt led to come and pray for her.
While I was still asking her if she would be open to prayer, she got out of her car and agreed .(I noticed a support brace around her waist.) I began to pray and immediately felt led to ask her about her brace,so I did.
She told me that she had been having severe back problems, scoliosis and a twisted lumbar disc. When she finished talking I asked her if she would allow me to pray for that as well, she replied by taking it off and made it clear she would appreciate that.
She was so surprised by someone coming up to Her randomly.
As I began to pray,I heard the voice say put your hands on her back, so I asked permission and upon receiving it quickly did just that. I began to pray for God to heal every area of her spine and back,to turn what was not right back into place.
Upon finishing I opened my eyes and asked her to do something she could not do before. She bent sideways looked up at me with shock and said. "How did you do that" I told Her It's Jesus and she bent back up trying again.
She said thats remarkable.
Then she said I still have a twinge in this part of my back. I asked her where and she pointed There was a huge lump from the scoliosis where she pointed,I placed my hand on it and began to pray asking God to heal it. as I prayed I felt the lump go down in size which tripped me up.
I asked her "How does it feel now" She looked at me and asked "Its remarkable, What is this" I told Her "its just Jesus" She said " Jesus? Wow!" She said "You have a gift, you have healing hands" I replied "No its just Him working through me, Its His power, and Im just a conduit/the vessel He flows through..."
She twisted back and forth with amazement, then gave me a big hug "Thank you!" She said "Thank you so much".
I prayed with her for God to continue to bless her and she got into her car, still moving around checking Her back and saying "Wow"...
As I walked away I felt such peace and Joy. Thanking God for the opportunity to be apart of what He was doing ,and thankful that I had chosen to listen to His leading....
Maybe thats all there is,
Maybe everything we do is meant to first be a question, instead of just going after what we want or going out to do something.
we should ask or listen to see what God is saying,
Maybe thats the key to being in perfect obedience and Love to Living for Him, Because what is the point of living if your not fulfilling your purpose.
We all learn and grow . Ive missed my opportunity to listen numerous times. But His grace doesn't keep count of our failings and shortcomings,He keeps count only of How many times we believe, listen step out, and act.
Jesus said:
(John 12:49)
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
(John 14:10)
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
The Bible Says:
(Romans 8:14-17)
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Jesus was an example of what our lives when completely and totally lived for God's perfect purpose, could be...
No we are not God, But if we have asked God into our hearts then He dwells within us and we become dead to ourselves,Our sinful nature, our flesh and our earthly cares and desires,
The more we allow ourselves to die to our own desires and will, the more of us is Free for Him to use, and so then His love and His power can be made manifest in and through our lives in greater ways.
We just have to yield ourselves over to Him...
and That is the Choice...
(Romans 8:9-11)
9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet the Spirit gives you life because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who dwells within you.
We are His people His hands His feet on the earth, His spirit moves and we are meant to move with it, and listen for His voice. Its ok If we mess up once or twice, He is not keeping track of our shortcomings.
He is calling us to Love, To be made perfect in His Love. Without Fear...
(1 John 4:16-17)
16 And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love, abides in God, and God in him.
17 In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
So lets be free to Listen and obey, Free to choose Him over all else Free to Be like Him, to be like Love, Because thats what He is.
Love,
and His spirit dwells in us and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
True Liberty...
Liberty to Be all that He has called us to be and to be open to do whatever He asks and to go wherever He leads...
This is what it means to serve Him!
Amen and Amen...
